- Ultraculture with Jason Louv – Ep. 106: Ramsey Dukes: Patron Saint of Chaos Magick
A cosy, relaxed, and wide-ranging chat. Lionel Snell (aka Ramsey Dukes) remarks during the course of this episode how he feels remote and apart from the contemporary magical scene, but Jason deftly steers the conversation in directions that make it plain Lionel is still the most reflective and interesting philosopher of magick writing today.
- Schizotopia – Ep. 40: Witchtokalypse Now! With Georgina Rose
Someone who has prioritised the aesthetic aspects of occultism and learned the hard way that ideas have real-world repercussions. That’s maybe a generous take on the rise and fall of Georgina Rose. Frankly, I’ve never heard her talk more substantially about magick and her relationship to it than she does here. Some might conclude that’s faint praise, but it would be nice to think the damage to her reputation could lead – in the long run – to growth and change. Fingers crossed!
- F23 Podcast – Ep. 44 John Harrigan
Back in the day, I frequently ran across the work of John Harrigan, a very interesting magician, who was using theatre and chaos magical techniques both as a means of magical praxis and for connecting with audiences through ritual. He went quiet for a while, so it is good to hear how his work has been developing more recently – seemingly into a more spiritual outlook. His critically acclaimed indie film Lightships (2021) looks amazing! (Skip straight to the interview if the grating introductory matter irritates.)
